| One of Warwick's more consistent efforts post her Scepter, Bacharach/David glory days. That's What Friends are For holds up the best of the 80s cause songs. Whisper in the Dark is one of her few successful forays into a time's dance music modes. But the gem is the last cut, Extravagent Gestures that reunites her with Burt Bacharach, with a song that probably was the first he wrote exclusively for her in a decade. The lyricist, Sager, is no Hal David, but the song reminds you of all the music lost when Bacharach/David and Warwick fell out in the 1970s.
